If you are a student from Canada, you have the option to finance your studies with loans through the federal government and your province, as well as with a line of credit from a Canadian bank. We also have tips for U.S. students.

Government Loans and Grants

Most Canadian provinces and territories offer student loans to help cover the cost of your education, based on financial need. BGU students are currently authorized to receive loans from AlbertaBritish Columbia and Ontario; we are seeking authorization from Manitoba. If you are from another Canadian province or have any questions about the loan application process, please contact our Financial Aid Administrator.

Canada Student Loans offers funding to students from low- and middle-income families, as well as to students with dependents, students who have disabilities, and part-time students. To learn more about the need assessment guidelines, visit the Government of Canada website. You will need the following information to apply online:

  • Social insurance number
  • Valid driver’s license or passport
  • Bank information
  • A signed copy of your Master Student Financial Assistance Agreement (MSFAA)
  • BGU school code: RUAO

Government Loans and Grants

Canadian financial institutions may provide up to CA$200,000 in assistance to help you cover the cost of your degree. You may also personally arrange a line of credit at the bank of your choice, for which you will likely need a cosigner who is also a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
