If you are a U.S. student studying at MSIH, you have the option of applying for private and federal loans to help fund your degree. We also have tips for Canadian students.
Federal Loans
MSIH is accredited by the Council for Higher Education in Israel – recognized by the US Education Department’s National Committee on Foreign Medical Education and Accreditation (NCFMEA). As such, students studying at MSIH are entitled to apply for US federal loans.
U.S. students can apply for federal assistance through two U.S. Department of Education loan programs: Direct Stafford and Direct Graduate PLUS. The first step in applying for federal aid is to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You will need the following information when applying:
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license number
- Investment records
- W-2 forms (and other records of money earned)
- Federal tax returns from previous two years
- Permanent registration card (if you are not a U.S. citizen)
- Personal Identification Number (PIN)*
- BGU school code: G20941
*To request or reactivate a PIN, visit the Department of Education website.
Complete the Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Notes webpage. Loan amounts will be requested through the Financial Aid Administrator.
Approved loans are paid to BGU; you will request refunds for the portions used to cover your living expenses.
