Lt. Col. Brian Neese

  • Global Health Liaison within the United States Air Force International Affairs Division at the Pentagon

Lt. Col. Brian Neese is currently a Global Health Liaison within the United States Air Force International Affairs Division at the Pentagon. Previously, he has served as Commander of the 628th Medical Operations Squadron. There he oversaw clinical and administrative operations at an Air Force Base in South Carolina, supervising more than 70 medical personnel who delivered comprehensive health care to more than 24,000 people, including thousands of active duty personnel. He has also served as a staff physician and flight commander in Texas, where he collaborated with local groups to start a free health clinic for working, uninsured Hispanic patients. He has worked in the Dominican Republic and Panama, and has developed strategy and planned operations in more than 30 Latin American countries.

Lt. Col. Neese has won the Federal Health Care Executive Special Achievement Award, which recognizes him and his unit for exceeding Air Force standards and is awarded to a federal career health care executive who has distinguished themselves through singularly significant achievements which have contributed substantially to the mission of the federal health care system.

Dr. Neese has been at guest lecturer on many topics at MSIH, including a lecture entitled Levering Health for National Security.
