Prof. Nava Bashan completed her PhD in The Hebrew University Jerusalem, and her Postdoc in the Weizmann Institute of Science as a Research Associate and joined the Faculty of Health Sciences at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev as a lecturer and later as Head of the Department of Clinical Biochemistry at BGU. She became a Professor in Clinical Biochemistry in 1998 and headed the Pediatric Research Laboratory at Soroka University Medical Center, the primary teaching hospital for MSIH, until 2010. She has coordinated and taught the first year Biochemistry course at MSIH from the inception of the school and has won numerous teaching awards during her career.
