Dr. Danny Kaplan is a Professor & Chief of the Department of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery at Soroka University Medical Center in Beer Sheva. Dr Kaplan is also Director of the Cochlear Implant Program at Soroka. He is the President of the Israeli Society of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Kaplan’s clinical practice is dedicated to Otology and Neurotology. This includes surgical restoration of hearing loss by middle ear reconstruction and cochlear implantation for the deaf. He also manage dizziness, vertigo and balance disorders.

Dr. Kaplan is an Academic Advisor at MSIH.

Research Interests

• Managing infections in cohlear implanted patients and the use of new vestibular testing
• Translational science, studying restoration of hearing and vestibular injury of different causes, with certain proteins
