Eligibility Guidelines

In selecting applicants, we give consideration to academic excellence (indicated through GPA and standardized test scores), recommendations, extracurricular activities, life experiences, personal growth and interview assessments. We also give merit to applicants who exhibit a strong interest in global health and working with diverse and underserved populations and cultures.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of the following coursework:
    • One year each of biology and physics (or one year of biology, one semester of physics and one semester of math, preferably calculus or statistics)
    • Two years of chemistry (with labs), including one year of organic chemistry or biochemistry
  • Fluency in English
  • Citizenship in a country that has diplomatic relations with Israel
  • Citizens of Israel must have dual citizenship with another country in addition to completing high school or college outside of Israel

In some circumstances, exceptions to course requirements (based on academic record, work experience and MCAT/GAMSAT score) may be made at the discretion of the admissions committee.

Israeli nationals who have completed both high school and college in Israel must apply to the Joyce and Irving Goldman Medical School at BGU and follow the regulations of the Israeli Council for Higher Education.

MSIH does not accept transfer students. Due to our unique global health curriculum, all applicants must enter MSIH as first-year students.
